After scaling record highs for two days in a row, Australian shares have slipped in morning trade after commodity prices fell sharply and inflation worries resurfaced.
By 10:20am AEST, the benchmark ASX 200 index was down 0.1 per cent to 7,251 points.
Many of the worst performers were gold stocks like Silver Lake Resources (6.8pc), Ramelius Resouces (-6.7pc), Perseus Mining (-5.3pc) and Northern Star Resources (-4.9pc).
