Since the end of 2017, no AFL clubs have fallen further and with greater velocity than Adelaide and Collingwood.
Though they are two proudly independent organisations with unique cultures, personnel and supporters, the blunders they have made boggle the mind.
Admittedly, a prerequisite for a steep and significant nosedive is to get close to the summit in the first place. And the Crows (in 2017) and Magpies (in 2018) did exceptionally well to get within touching distance of a premiership.
