After the Brisbane Broncos were blown out of the water by the Cronulla Sharks in the race to sign Nicho Hynes, coach Kevin Walters has confirmed his interest in Queensland Maroons duo Dane Gagai and Kurt Capewell.
Hynes has been in scintillating form for the Melbourne Storm and was a prime recruitment target for several clubs, including the Broncos.
The 24-year-old ultimately chose to join the Sharks on a reported three-year, $1.8 million deal.
