The Broncos recruitment drive has hit a major roadblock after key target Nicho Hynes chose to link with the Sharks despite Brisbane appearing frontrunners for his signature.
The 24-year-old was earmarked as the Kevin Walters next long-term fullback, with the club reportedly offering Hynes a three-year, $1 million offer.
On Tuesday, however, the Sharks confirmed Hynes was heading to the Shire with the club blowing the Broncos offer out of the water with $1.8 million over three years.
