Sally Fitzgibbons, even by her own admission, has been there, done that.
The 29-year-old, who broke through for her first World Surf League tour win in 2011 at Bells Beach, has now enjoyed a storied career travelling the world, competing with and beating the best.
After 11 seasons in the top league, Fitzgibbons is now one of the most recognisable faces in Australian sport but she still hasn’t cracked that elusive world title.
