Queensland politicians are set to pocket three pay rises in the next 15 months after a ruling from the state’s independent remuneration tribunal.
It means all 93 members of Parliament will receive a 2 per cent pay increase in September this year, followed by 2.25 per cent in March 2022, and 2.5 per cent in September 2022.
The determination by the Queensland Independent Renumeration Tribunal (QIRT) overrules a decision it made last year to freeze MPs pay rises for up to four years due to the COVID-19…
