A stunning new image was released by NASA on May 27 of what the agency said showed “threads of superheated gas and magnetic fields weaving a tapestry of energy” at the centre of the Milky Way. The image was created using data from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory orbiting above the earth, and the MeerKAT radio telescope in South Africa. The data shows a “cosmic masterpiece” at the Milky Way’s galactic center, NASA said. Credit: NASA via Storyful
