Tripp’s bid for Tabcorp has hurdles to jump – The Australian Financial Review
BetMakers has legendary bookie Matt Tripp in its corner, but Tabcorp investors will need a lot of convincing to back its bid for Tabcorp’s wagering division.
The hope is that BetMakers technology which is highly respected in the industry will be widely adopted overseas, particularly in a US wagering market enjoying gold rush-like conditions following the legalisation of sports betting.
More recently, investors have celebrated the arrival of legendary bookmaker Matthew Tripp, who invested $25 million and was appointed as a special adviser in February with the express purpose of landing a big deal with a fat options package as a carrot.
