‘Wouldn’t want to play in an empty stadium’: NRL faces final call on moving Origin opener

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo has declared all options are on the table as the league weighs up its options ahead of the opening game of this years State of Origin series.
Canberra, Adelaide and Perth have all been floated as potential options to host the game as have Sydney and Brisbane following a COVID-19 outbreak in Melbourne.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) was set to host the event and Abdo maintains the NRL will give Melbourne every chance of hosting Game I.
