The 52 finalists of this years Archibald prize were revealed at the Art Gallery of NSW on Thursday morning the first batch in the prizes 100-year history to achieve gender parity among the artists. A painting of Kate Ceberano by Kathrin Longhurst took home the coveted packing room prize.
