Ramsay bets big on UK with $1.8b hospital deal – Sydney Morning Herald
The boss of the nation’s largest private hospital operator says “the planets have aligned” on an acquisition target that it has watched for 10 years.

Ramsays UK chief executive Andy Jones said 1.5 million patients wait more than 18 weeks for referrals to treatment.There is likely to be an opportunity for the combined business to assist in addressing the backlog in demand in both the private and public sector over the next few years, he said.
Mr Jones said while the UK had been fighting hospital wait times for many years, the situation had worsened over the past 12 months all due to COVID.
