COVID-19 and Travel: What You Should Know – Coronavirus – WebMD
With more and more people traveling again, you may wonder what’s safe. It mainly depends on whether you’ve gotten the COVID-19 vaccine or not.

Its risky for you to travel around the U.S. if you havent gotten the COVID-19 vaccine, or if you dont have its full protection yet.
Youre not considered fully vaccinated until:
- Two weeks after you get your second dose of a two-dose vaccine, like Pfizer and Moderna
- Two weeks after you get a single-dose vaccine, like Johnson & Johnson
If youre unvaccinated, youre more likely to catch COVID-19 and spread it. Thats why the CDC recommends that you put off trips until youre fully vaccinated.
