Back around 1955 I stayed with Min and Bill Battis.
Their house was in Barker Street East Brisbane.
Min was a relative of my Mother.
I took this photo on my very basic Kodak Box Brownie Camera.
Colour film was beyond my school kid budget , so it has been a pleasing task to colorise this precious memory all these years later..
I travelled from West Burleigh to Brisbane and back by Steam Train.a great experience in itself.
Getting around Brisbane was by Tram.
Spent two days at the Brisbane Ekka..was wonderful to be looked after by Min and Bill.
There were many houses like this in and around Brisbane.
Maybe this house is still there.
