A text message from George Williams to the Canberra Raiders welfare manager on Tuesday morning has triggered a whirlwind end to the Green Machine half-backs NRL career.
After a month of agitating about being homesick for a return to the UK, Williams sent a text message on Tuesday informing the Raiders he was refraining from attending the clubs regulation training session.
