Australians are in a great position to witness the Super Blood Moon on Wednesday night, with a total lunar eclipse visible.

Stargazers across Australia are in for a treat on Wednesday night with a super blood moon set to rise in the night sky.
The super blood moon occurs when a total lunar eclipse takes place at the same time the moon is in perigee – the closest point to Earth in its orbit.
Like the supermoon that rose in April, Mays super blood moon will also appear larger than usual. But this time, itll also be red in colour.
