We found there are a number of aspects of diabetic care where health staff dont have clear guidelines or guidance, Dr Donovan said.
We do have good guidelines in Queensland for what to do with many patients with diabetes, but there are certain cohorts, for example people who are given steroids, that can have a big impact on blood-sugar control.
