Kasaragod: Recently, many fungal diseases, including ringworm, were detected across the country. However, black fungus (Mucormycosis) infects the patients who have recovered from Covid-19 recently and have low immunity.
Upto 50-85 percent of the people infected with black fungus also succumb to the disease in a short period. Even if recovered, they spend rest of the life with severe deformities.
