The Dragon could be breathing fire in the Doomben Cup with master trainer Ciaron Maher revealing Cox Plate winner Sir Dragonet will push forward and race much handier in Saturdays Group 1 than some may expect.
The lead-up to the Doomben Cup has been spiced up on two fronts, with Sir Dragonet‘s jockey Glen Boss declaring that favourite and key rival Zaaki beat “a bunch of non-winners last start” and suggesting the betting market has it wrong.
