A mother has expressed her shock after discovering her son had spent ‘years of savings’ in just 17 days.
A mother has taken to Reddit to detail how her son spent $20,000 on online gaming.
In a now-deleted post, she explained how her 14-year-old son spent $19,870.94 on Fortnite and Twitch over 17 days.
My minor child spent almost $20k using a debit card on subscriptions & donations, cleaning out my bank accts (sic) without my knowledge or permission, the mother wrote.
Years of savings gone in 17 days.
The mother reportedly gave her son a debit card with a small balance to buy school lunches….
