Earlier this month, the federal government released five new advertisements featuring faces including former deputy chief medical officer Dr Nick Coatsworth and Dr Mark Wenitong founder of the Australian Indigenous Doctors Association to coincide with the vaccine becoming available to people aged 50 and over.
However, Dr Frawley had seen little evidence the federal government had developed a communication strategy beyond holding regular press conferences.
