Collingwood star Mason Cox has been taken to hospital after a training accident.
AFL Media confirmed that the Magpies’ Wednesday morning session was halted when Cox was on the receiving end of an accidental blow to the throat.
Cox was then taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
The 2.11m-tall American hasn’t played for Collingwood since Round 4 after coach Nathan Buckley dropped him from the AFL side. In four AFL games he scored six goals.
