St George Illawarra are in the market for a utility back and experienced outside back but have all but ruled out a move for Wests Tigers star Moses Mbye.
Anthony Griffin has revived another former Bronco in the Red V, handing ex-Kiwi international Gerard Beale an NRL lifeline to reinforce the Dragons backline stocks.
Beale has signed with St George Illawarra for the rest of 2021, eight months after announcing his NRL retirement from a 194-game NRL career that saw him start under Griffin in Brisbane’s under 20s.
Beale previously played for St George Illawarra in 2013-14, scoring 10 tries in 29 games.
