Some of Brenton Rickard’s medals are still missing, but the retired swimmer says he’s grateful for the honesty of the auction bidder.
Former Olympic swimmer Brenton Rickard has been reunited with dozens of medals that were allegedly stolen from his Gold Coast home a year ago.

- 100 medals went missing from the swimmer’s Gold Coast home in May last year
- Those recovered include Commonwealth Games silver medals from 2006 and 2010
- A woman bought some of them online for $32 and later contacted Rickard via Facebook
About 100 medals were taken from the breaststroker’s family home at Bundall which was unoccupied due to renovations.
