Thursday night footy returns in latest AFL fixture release – The Age
Prime-time games have been scheduled on Thursday nights across rounds 13-15, released by the AFL on Friday.
The AFL has sought the support of the AFL Players Association in allowing Thursday-night football to return between rounds 13 and 15.
The latest block of matches were confirmed on Friday, with the league taking prime-time action on a Thursday to South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland.
The round-13 clash will be a blockbuster between Port Adelaide and Geelong at Adelaide Oval, a week later West Coast will host Richmond, while round 15 will have the Brisbane Lions host the Cats at the Gabba.
