Vietnam is facing a fresh battle with the virus but with fewer than 4000 total cases among its nearly 100 million people, it has stood out from the pack.

Vietnam has secured fewer than 1 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, mostly through the international global agency known as COVAX, the company hopes a vast proportion of the countrys population will ultimately be inoculated by homegrown vaccines such as Nanocovax.
