‘A wonderful actor and true friend’
Notting Hill actor Tony Armatrading has died at 59 following a cancer battle.
The actor’s friend Tim Bentinck confirmed the news in a post to social media.
“Very sad news. My dearest friend Tony Armatrading died of cancer an hour ago,” he wrote on May 10, alongside a photo of Armatrading with his wife Suzy and their dog.
“I had the privilege of being his best man, and loved him dearly. He was a wonderful actor and a true friend. This pic of him with Suzy and Dash taken last night.”
