Terrifying on the field but warm and gentle off it, Taniela Tupou delivered an emotional Mother’s Day message after winning an epic Super Rugby AU title with the Queensland Reds on Saturday night.
“The last time I saw my family was back in 2019, so this one is for you mum,” the ‘Tongan Thor’ said in a post-match chat with Sonny Bill Williams on Nine and Stan Sport.
“It’s Mother’s Day tomorrow so happy Mother’s Day.”
