SpaceX has taken a small step forward in its quest to get to Mars as the company successfully tested its prototype SN15 rocket in Texas.
It flew around ten kilometres up before successfully returning back to Earth despite the fact several previous prototypes had exploded on the landing pad.
SpaceX hopes to use the rocket in its future manned missions to the moon and Mars.
