A recent national study found men living in rural and regional areas, who were diagnosed with prostate cancer, were 24 per cent more likely to die within five years of being diagnosed, compared to men in urban areas.
That could be because Australian men in rural and regional areas have less less PSA (prostate specific antigen) blood tests.
But there’s also growing concern there could be a link between on-farm chemicals and prostate cancer.
