Our officers, along with colleagues from other agencies, attend training programs at the Australian Border Force Colleges around Australia. The training teaches our officers new skills,
improves leadership capabilities and enhances their abilities to deliver high level operational performance.The training programs comprise theoretical classroom studies as well as hands-on physical training in the college’s state-of-the-art facilities.
Courses run for a maximum 4 weeks and provide professional instruction in areas like marine-specific training, use of force and personal defensive skills, and legislation and powers.
On completion of the courses, graduates then take their new-found knowledge and skills into the field…
