Scott was an induced coma in The Alfred nine weeks ago. He’d suffered serious head injuries after a horse kicked him at his Mornington stable but had made a remarkable recovery to be in the crowd at Warrnambool on Tuesday.
Then a masterful ride from jockey Will Gordon on the The Statesman added another fairytale to Warrnambool’s rich history.
