The Geelong great returned home following a night with friends to find his partner of 20 years collapsed on the floor.
Friends and family have rallied around Geelong great Sam Newman who has been left devastated following the sudden death of his wife, Amanda.
The couple, who had been together for 20 years, had tied the knot in a private ceremony late last year with their closest friends and family in attendance.
On Saturday night, Amanda Brown suffered cardiac arrest at the couples Melbourne apartment, and couldnt be saved.
She was just 50 years old.
