Vehicle pile-up closes northbound lanes of Pacific Motorway

Northbound lanes of the Pacific Motorway at Coomera on the Gold Coast are closed following a multi-vehicle crash, with lengthy delays expected.

Police advise motorists to avoid the area after the crash at Coomera on the motorway about 4.50am on Tuesday.

A single vehicle is believed to have crashed, with a further six cars becoming involved in an accident at the scene.

Police said motorists could exit at Hope Island Road and then re-enter the M1 at the Abraham and Days road intersection.
