Development after Pakistani crewman jumps ship at Queensland port, in breach of COVID-19 quarantine rules

A multi-agency search for a Pakistani national who escaped a foreign livestock ship in Townsville has come to an end.
The crewman is in custody after walking into Townsville Police Station and handing himself in to police.
The man, who was on board the Polaris 3 that left China on April 12, jumped ship at Townsville port on Saturday night, in breach of COVID-19 quarantine rules.
