A woman has been dragged under a car and a teenager is fighting for her life after two separate incidents on Sydney roads.

Just before 1:00am today police were called to Ash Avenue, in Caringbah South, where a 27-year-old woman had been hit by a car allegedly driven by her mother.

The woman was trapped under the car and dragged for 100 metres.

Emergency personnel worked for over an hour to free her from the vehicle.

She was taken to St George Hospital in a serious condition with significant injuries to her right leg and right arm.
