Beef 2021, Rockhampton’s premier agriculture event, gets underway

Sarah Truran’s cows have been on the trip of a lifetime.
Key points:
- Beef Australia’s week-long event has begun
- The event is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors
- Producers from all over Australia have travelled to attend, including Sarah Truran who trucked her cows in from South Australia
Thousands of kilometres from their home in South Australia, they have arrived on-site at Beef 2021.
The Simmental and Simbrah cows underwent a two-week travel itinerary covering 2,200 kilometres.
“It’s a two part trip, they need to be stopped halfway in New South Wales to have a rest and then come onto Queensland where they have time to settle down, fill back up and recover from their trip,” Ms Truran said.
