‘Affordable, approachable, aspirational’: Inner-city pubs to compete with boutique hotels – Sydney Morning Herald
Pubs will be transformed into boutique accommodation in a bid to appeal to Millennials seeking a taste of inner-city life.
Mr Adgemis said pubs had a special place in old inner-city suburbs, but many were in dire need of investment.
They cant be replicated, their character will only grow in appeal as the city landscape rapidly changes and operators have traditionally focused on ground floor trading and not accommodation, he said.
