‘No idea what he’s thinking’: Key mistake behind distracted Dog’s ‘worst kick in 20 years’
Western Bulldogs young gun Aaron Naughton has come under fire for his handling of a crucial late set shot in his sides loss to Richmond, with the ensuing kick described as the worst in 20 years.
With his Bulldogs down by 17 minutes and five minutes left in the match, Naughton had a chance to cut the margin. However after checking the shot clock multiple times during his run-up, he shanked the kick horribly, the ball ending up a solid 15 metres short of the goals and well wide.
