Queensland zoo heartbreak at chimp’s second loss
The chimp, named Samantha, has been sedated after her baby boy was delivered by caesarean section about 1.30pm yesterday.Zoo staff, working closely with veterinarians and a gynaecologist, delivered the baby after making “the difficult decision to step in” to assist Samantha with the birth.“We are heartbroken to share the news with you that Samantha’s baby was delivered stillborn,” the zoo wrote on Facebook.AUTOPSY RECOMMENDED AFTER STILLBIRTH“Our thoughts are with Samantha, the chimp…
