The NZRs 26 provincial unions on Thursday unanimously backed the deal with California-based technology investment giants Silver Lake at its annual general meeting in Wellington.
They voted in favour of selling a 12.5 per cent stake in NZ Rugbys commercial rights valued by Silver Lake at $3.1 billion (A$2.9bn) for $387.5 million (A$361.1m).
