BOM forecasts wet, stormy Labour Day long weekend for much of Queensland

Large parts of Queensland are in for a wet weekend with streaming showers looking set to increase over the east coast.

The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has forecast south-east Queensland can expect between 20mm and 40mm of rainfall on Friday and Saturday.

Meteorologist Rosa Hoff said it was all courtesy of south-easterly winds.

“This means that showers from out over the ocean are going to get pulled onto the coast thanks to the east-to-south-easterly winds,” she said.
