Detainee runs off after allegedly headbutting officer outside court

Police are searching for a man who escaped custody after allegedly assaulting an officer while he was being escorted from court to the watch house in Warwick, south-west of Brisbane.
Stanthorpe 28-year-old Clayton Alvoen was being escorted by an officer from Warwick Court to the watch house when he allegedly headbutted the officer before fleeing on foot.

Police searched the area but were unable to find Mr Alvoen, with officers believing he might have been driven away from the scene.
The officer received treatment at the local hospital for a facial laceration.
Mr Alvoen had been at court on drug, assault, and bail-related charges.
