ACT Coroner delivers findings from inquest into nine-year-old Bradyn Dillon’s death

A coroner has found murdered Canberra boy Bradyn Dillon died after a series of missed opportunities by authorities, as his father lied and isolated him to hide his abuse.
Bradyn was nine years old when he was beaten to death by his father Graham Dillon in 2016.
Today Coroner Margaret Hunter found Dillon alone was responsible for the death, although she noted shortcomings in the assessment of the family’s situation were also to blame.
Dillon is serving more than 40 years in jail for his crimes.
The hearings, which ran over 18 months, revealed Bradyn fell from view after his case was closed by child protection workers, just as his teachers were raising concerns about injuries.
