Gingin bushfire emergency downgraded to watch and act

A bushfire emergency warning for people in Gingin, north of Perth, has been downgraded to watch and act.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) said the blaze was now stationary.
DFES said it was not contained or controlled, but it was not moving.
It said there was still a possible threat to lives and homes as conditions were changing.
It urged people to stay alert.
People north of Gingin Brook can leave in a northerly direction along Weld Street if they wish, while those south of Gingin Brook should travel in a southerly direction along Cockram Road, authorities said.
