South Australia eases border restrictions on travellers from Western Australia
South Australia is easing its border restrictions on travellers from Western Australia.
Key points:
- Travellers from the Perth and Peel regions will only need to quarantine until testing negative
- The eased restrictions don’t apply to those deemed high risk
- SA Health estimates as many as 5,000 people will be allowed to leave quarantine
Effective immediately, people travelling to SA from the Perth and Peel regions will need to have a COVID test on days one, five and 13, but now only need to quarantine until the first test comes back negative.
The same applies to people from those areas who have already been quarantining in SA, meaning many will be able to leave quarantine immediately.
The new rules do not apply to anyone who is deemed high risk…
