Australia negotiating with three vaccine makers for boosters, variants – The Australian Financial Review
Australia is working to secure deals for vaccine boosters and vaccines to counter evolving ‘variants of concern’.
With a population of almost 38 million, Canada reportedly reached a deal with Pfizer to secure 35 million vaccine booster shots for next year and 30 million for the year after, with options for the following year.
Because updated COVID-19 vaccines use the same basic design, their development and approval will likely be much swifter. AP
Overall, it has guaranteed access to 65 million doses, with the ability to tap into 120 million more if necessary and flexibility to procure future formulations…
