Celebrate World Koala Day | Noosa Today

“Wild Koala Day“ on Monday 3 May, is your chance to see, cuddle and learn about our disappearing koalas at Wildlife HQ , the lovely sanctuary, next to the Big Pineapple on the Nambour Connection Road at Woombye.
Unless you know how and where to look or are very lucky, you will rarely see a wild koala now on the Sunshine Coast. In pre- Bushfire and Covid years, The Queensland Koala Crusaders held a popular guided walk through Noosa National Park to celebrate “Wild Koala Day“ but photographer Bernard Jean reports there are none currently living there.
