‘I done a hit on a bloke for $10,000’: Queensland murderer appeals conviction
A Queensland man who told his friend he had “done a hit on a bloke for $10,000” by dropping a rock on his victim, has appealed his murder conviction by arguing it was “unreasonable”.
Brent Malcolm Huxley, who was 31 when he was charged in September 2015, was convicted of the murder of Michael James McCabe in the Townsville Supreme Court in September 2019.

The victim, Michael James McCabe, is believed to have been assaulted at a Townsville unit before being driven to the crime scene where he was killed when a large rock was dropped onto his head.
