Sydney Cup-winner Shraaoh passes away overnight during colic surgery

Sydney Cup-winner Shraaoh has died overnight during surgery for colic, with the Chris Waller stable reporting the news on Sunday morning saying the ‘gentleman’ gelding will be sadly missed.
The Group 1-winning stayer had returned to racing in the autumn after previously over-coming another serious bout of colic.
Chris Waller’s stable said the son of Sea The Stars would be remembered as ‘a pleasure to work with and a gentleman to have around the stables’.
Sadly Shraaoh has passed away overnight…
