The iconic Targa Tasmania rally event has been rocked by a double fatality on Saturday, just 24 hours after another competitor died.
A 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS hit a tree 6.2 kilometres into the Cygnet stage south of Hobart at approximately 11:45am. Driver Leigh Mundy and co-driver Dennis Neagle died at the scene.
On Friday, Shane Navin died in a crash at Mount Arrowsmith.
This has been a devastating few days for the Targa family, said Targa Australia chief executive Mark Perry.
